Cans at Last
Jamie from Cask Brewing Systems came down from Canada to help us get set up. Jamie originally started talking us into his system at the Craft Brewers Conference in Austin, Texas in March of 2007.
Packaging manager Peter McGinley welcomes his new friend into the brewery. The canning line came straight to Weston from Calgary, Alberta.
Corey tests the finished product. After several very careful tests the product was deemed a success to the best of my memory!

New Tanks Are Up and Ready
Weston Brewing is getting ready for a big 2013. Two new 45bbls fermentation tanks were delivered to the brewery from Oregon this week. This was both an exciting and gut wrenching event. These tanks are twice as big as anything we had ever dealt with before.
The first photo is Mike surveying Damon surveying Peter working on placing the first tank.
The second photo shows the tanks in all their new glory.
We are looking forward to getting some Cream Ale and Royal Lager into these beauties.

Lemons to Lemonade
We made it through one storm. Who would have guessed rain would be fun. Flanningan's Right Hook moved their outdoor set to the covered patio for one of the most memorable shows in years. Acoustic with more than 100 fans packed around they played to roaring applause. Meanwhile a mean beer pong match started up under our broken old tent. Jiggernaut is preparing to take the stage with what is now mild weather.
Pipers take the stage
The St Andrews Pipe and Drum Band took the stage just moments ago. Still cloudy but we are having a great time inside and out. Three Dollar Band has just taken the stage and will followed by Flannigan's Right Hook.
Perfect Timing
The rain has stopped just in time for Langer's Ball to open the show. They will kick things off at Noon. Tullamore will open the indoor shows at 1pm. Hopefully we can stay dry for a while and have some fun.
A Bit Soggy
We are getting wet outside but still planning for three stages of great Irish music. If rain continues outside acts will be performing on the covered patio. Indoor "Hall" and "Pub" stages will be as scheduled. The Hotel Bar will also be serving our Weston products so be sure to visit us for some Irish weather, music, beer and food!

Great Day One
A little rain couldn't stop a great crowd from enjoying Barleyjuice. A rousing show got the crowd moving. Things are going crazy in the pub, but this photographer couldn't get down that far.
We won't let a bit of bad weather ruin our fun tomorrow. Stay updated. We have a smaller covered stage ready for some of the best Irish bands in the world.

And we're off!
The Three Dollar Band officially kicked off the 13th Annual Weston Irish Fest. Our wonderful fans are coming out for to see some of the best Irish music in the country. The Mickey Finns and Barley Juice are on the way outside. Check out www.westonirish.com for the rest of the weekend schedule.
Getting Ready to Start WIF 2012
Everything is set for the 13th Annual Weston Irish Festival. We are planning to have a great time rain or shine. Musicians, vendors and the brewers are ready to celebrate another year of Irish entertainment in Weston. Steve Jaremko (shown here doing nothing productive) will be guiding the troops in O'Malley's Pub.

STEP BACK IN TIME WITH OUR NEW BOCK
Now is the time to try what was once known as “the richest beer in the world.” The Weston Brewing Company has recreated one of the original Royal Brewing Company’s line of beers after WBC owners recently “found” an old recipe.
The Rip Van Winkle bock will be a permanent addition to the WBC line of beers. It will soon be offered in the Greater Kansas City area after several months as an exclusive Weston offering.
The smooth and richly-flavored bock was fermented for an extended amount of time and has been garnering rave reviews from patrons.
Come try yours now!
Brewer Jeff's First WBC Recipe
Weston Brewing Company’s newest addition is the fifth beer in the Brew Labs series, but it was created with a throwback style in mind. The dark beer was brewed to simulate the taste and character of an 1842-era porter and uses smoked grain to add a smoky richness that has already made Brew Labs #5 a popular choice.
When the Royal Brewing Company first started brewing beer in 1842, Weston was a growing river town. Come join us and the rest of Weston as the city celebrates its 175th anniversary in 2012.
