Here comes Prototype. Our first stout.

Here is a photo of Corey shoveling the dark grain from batch two of the stout. Hopefully the local cows have developed a taste for the new grain bill.
Labels have finally arrived and look like the photo below. As of Wednesday we look forward to getting the Proto-Stout out of the pub and into the mouths of the public.
We are hoping to make this new stout into O'Malley's Irish Stout down the road. With your tasting and input we will try to make it the best Irish-Style Dry Stout in the USA.
Peter and Kevin are seen at the right fighting mightily against the antique labeling machine.
Jesse Dalton is mastering the fine art of bottle handling. His past experience was in removing bottles from boxes.

Tasting Notes:
This malt bill for this stout includes Pale 2-row base malt along with Chocolate, Roasted and Caramel malt.
We use nothing but East Kent Goldings to bitter and flavor and Irish Ale yeast to ferment. We have imported everything but the water in order to make this the most authentic Irish Stout available!

Is that QR Code a temporary placeholder? Because what I get when I run it trough decoders really doesn't make sense...

You, my friend, are insanely fast. I posted this minutes ago. Yes. I'm about to post the correct QR code, which will actually bring you right here. You should get some kind of prize or something.

;) Subscribing to the feed has it's benefits. I'm relieved to hear the "fo' shizzle approved by snoop double dizzle" translation I was getting wasn't right. Not that it wouldn't have been hilarious, but would've confused some folkes.

PS - I'm not opposed to a prize!

Love this design, Mike. If this beer thing doesn't work out, you could get a job freelancing for our office! :)

Dear Anonymous,
Thanks very much for writing in. If you get a chance to write back after drinking the bottled version let us know if you think it tastes as good with CO2.

Drank the proto from a bottle tonight. Very good and very drinkable and balanced stout. Great flavor. Only wish was a little more alcohol in the mix. Would drink again as an everyday stout.

Was in S. Josep on business and stopped by the liquor store for some brew. saw this and was intrigued... This is a very good irish stout. I can really taste the "scotch" bite i expect from an irish from the bitters... I really can't taste the carmel in this brew, I get more of a coffee hint.

Good overall balance, nice and thick, balanced by the bitter...
